Falafel Sandwhich -Mediterranean Chickpea recipe


A chickpea lover's delight, this falafel sanwhich is both healthy and tastes amazing. With roasted red pepper hummus spread and a modified version of tahini sauce, it is just so flavourful. I did not have pita bread but the white bread was not too bad!

Things needed

For Roasted red pepper hummus spread
3 -4 roasted red pepper
one cup of boild chick pea
1 garlic clove
1tsp lemon juice
salt to taste

For Tahini Sauce ( modified version)
1/4 green chilli
1/2 cup yogurt
1 tsp dry roasted sesame seed
few cilantro leaves
salt to taste

For the Falafel
2 Cups of boiled chickpea
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp dry roasted sesame seed
black pepper
1/4 sliced onion
1/4 cup flour
salt to taste

How to Make

1) Grind the ingredients for Hummus paste and keep aside in a bowl.
2) Grind the ingredients for Tahini sauce and keep aside.
3) Grind the ingredients for Falafel except the onion/flour .
-- Mix the above paste with onion and flour and make small balls and fry.

4) Spread hummus on a slice and place the falafel with veggies on other.
5) Top with tahini sauce and serve.
